The show is titled "Let the Heavens Fall," and Audrey began working on the show more than two years ago. The mixed media paintings are colourful and combine printed words. Don Asling visited Mr. H. Gourlie one evening recently. Mr. Gourlie will celebrate his 92nd birthday on April 25. Best wishes from all of us. Mr. Gourlie doesn't like to use a cane, as he says that they are for old people. Women's Institute District An nual will be held at Zephyr on May 16. All welcome. Cookies are coming. On April 6th the Kindergarten children enjoyed a visit to Kelly Hills farm where they saw many interesting sights, including some baby animals. April 20 was the celebration of Earth Day at Epsom School. Special activities were planned, such as: 1. tree planting; 2. gar- bageless lunch day; 3. com- posting and recycling; 4. some writings including poetry and commercials were read over the P.A. every half hour. Everyone dressed in green to help focus our attention on the Importance of a healthy environment. Watch Cable 10 TV where Ep- som students artwork and writings will be featured. Education Week this year will be held April 30 to May 4. The theme is 'Learning for Life." Parents and friends in the com- munity are invited to attend any of the following special programmes: April 30 - Constable Judges will speak to all classes on vandalism. May 1 - all children will attend Greenbank P.S. Presentation of "Mirror Mirror' also a Science celebration (children will share their science projects). May 2 - Selected students will attend the Literary Guild at Thorah P.S. May 3 - Grade 5 to a prologue performance "The Lecorice allsorts at R.H. Cornish. The Dairy Princess, Wendy Evans will discuss her roll with all classes. May 4 - Janet Vandrig, Public Health Nurse, will speak to the children regarding the impor- tance of good nutrition. Barb Rit- chie and Dawn Kirchirka will give a slide presentation of women in non-traditional roles.
