The two local men (Scott lives in Port Perry and Hal in Caesarea) have purchased a spacious unit in a new building in the Scugog Industrial Park on North Port Road, off Durham Road 8, west of Port Perry, They actually opened the doors about a month ago and will be holding an "official open- ing" in the near future. They bring considerable ex- perience in the service and re- pair of small engines. Both have worked in this field locally, and prior to that, Hal spent four years as a man- ager and technical service trainer for Homelite in Toronto. Scott has worked for GM in Oshawa for the last decade and will continue to work there while the new business venture grows. * Eye exams arranged With their extensive back- ground in small engine repairs and service, both partners said opening a business of their own had been a personal ambition. ill Island history a hot topic On Wednesday May 9th, at 1 p.m. the Grance U.C.W. will join with residents at the nursing home to celebrate May birthdays.
