Mame Lawrence was in her 85th year. Together they had three children. Mame continued her athletic prowess, by proving frequently that she was the best apple tree climber on the block. She took an active part in com- munity events, especially those connected with the Women's Association of St. John's Presbyterian Church, where she was a life long member. After the children grew up, Mame spent much of her time working in the family drugstore. Following retirement in 1969, she spent her summers at the family cottage in Haliburton and con- tinued to devote much time to Women's Association work the rest of the year. Mame Lawrence was the dear- ly loved wife of Andrew Lawrence, Dear mother of Gary and his wife Patricia of Port Hope, Peter of Bolton and predeceased by Denise. Loving grandmother of Michael, David and Stephen. Sister of Ethelwyn Daniel of Ingersol, Jean Gray of Port Perry, Merle Willson of Oakville, Grace Baker of Warkworth, Fred Switzer of Peterborough and predeceased by Randolph, Orval, Melva Bickell and Frances Singleton. A funeral service was held at the Wagg Funeral Home in Port Perry on Thursday April 19, 1990. Rev. Stuart McEntyre officiated. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. The many floral tributes and memorial donations were gratefully appreciated.
