Council to defer BIA vote til after May 31 meeting -Scugog council will put off any decision on changes to the Business Improvement Area (BIA) formula until after a BIA general meeting May 31. Council agreed to the re- quest Monday afternoon after receiving two letters from BIA president Tom Mitchell. One of the letters outlined the purpose of the May 31 meet- ing, and extended an invitation to councillors to attend. The other outlined the background of the formation of the Port Perry BIA, and ended with a strong plea for council to Clean up first Highway 7A, but because of an error in planning, insufficient land was left between two lots for the walkway. And the present homeowners say they don't want a public walkway running so close to their houses.
