The event was sponsored by RD Promotions with a purpose of identifying and promoting motorcycle and ATV use as not only a safe means of travel, but as an enjoyable pastime that may be done by individuals of all ages, male and female. The Motorcycle Show was an event of the Canadian Motorcy- cle Association, and was held this past Saturday at the Scu- gog Arena. There were vendors, and dealers selling used and new bikes, as well as parts, for most bikes, and ATV's. There were also vendors selling helmets, and leathers. Other events included a Ride and Shine event, and demon- strations. The demonstrations were put on by the Oshawa Competition Motorcycle Club, and The Amateur Trials Asso- ciation. The Kawartha Region is home to many regular motorcy- clists, and ATV users, and po- tential cyclists, who possess a keen interest in the motorcycle and ATV world. In attempts to arouse and ig- nite interest for the means of travel and pastime in this com- munity, RD Promotions hopes this event is successful in not only strengthening the motor- cycle and ATV community, but also expanding it to all those in- terested. 1
