Stan and Muriel Rickard have been chosen as Deligates from our Club and they will be going to London (Canada) in August to at- tend the Sr. Convention. Bill needs volunteers to help at the Latcham Centre during Festival Days July 13 and 14th, so help will be appreciated. Contact Bill and let him know the time that you can help. A boat cruise is planned for Ju- ly 5th. The bus leaves 8:30 a.m. from behind the bank. We will visit the Shrine at Midland, have a 2% hour ride on the boat. Also a Hot and Cold buffet will be in- cluded in the price of your ticket. Tickets are still available for Ver- mont in the fall so call Jim or Min- nie if interested. The choir will sing at Scugog Museum on July 1st, check with Archie, re the time. The Line Dancing is finished for * the summer and will begin in the fall. The U.C.W. have planned to hold their June meeting on Tues- day, the 5th at Cullen Gardens, meeting at noon for lunch, follow- ed by a tour of the grounds and possibly a short meeting. Anyone who plans on going, please con- tact Eileen Slute so that transpor- tation can be arranged. : The children and teachers at the Utica Day Care Center have been busy planting flowers at the front of the Church building this past week. They sure brighten things up considerably. There were 14 table of euchre played in the Hall this past Friday evening. Lucky winners for the ladies were Kay Brown 1st, Margaret Gall 2nd and Doris Evans 3rd. For the men, George Harper 1st, Rick Gillman 2nd and Archie Watson 3rd. Freeze-out winners were Mary Poots and An- dy Munro, second were Doris Evans & Olive Ormiston. Draws were won by Elsie Pogue, Rick Gillman and Andy Munro. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Dean & Gloria Beare and sons Derek & Daniel were Sunday visitors with Mrs. Crosier. Doug MacSween spent a week fishing a Gowganda Lake north of Sudbury with friends from work. Mrs. Johanna Urech has returned home from her Euro- pean vacation and is very happy to be back as they ran into cold temperatures while in Spain, Gibraltar was pouring rain. (Sounds just like the weather we had in Utica).
