Wedding bells will be ringing on June 16. Eleven tables of euchre played on Thursday evening. The Ladies winners were Velma Ross, Dorothy Edwards and Betty Barnett. For the men: Ilean Pugh, Grace Manns, and Grant Bright. Lucky draw winners were Mary Williamson, Grace Manns, and Pat Norton. Lone hand series was Carl Gimblett with 14 lone hands for the month. Saturday evening dinner guests with Merv & Ilean Pugh were Pearl Gostick, and Gordon & Agnes Gostick of Toronto. The oc- casion being Mrs. Gostick's 88th birthday. Prince Albert United Church welcomed Donna Marlow who transferred her membership from Harmony United Church in Oshawa. Donna is very active on Prince Alberts' school advisory committee. She is also on the . Playground committee. A very warm welcome to you Donna and also your husband and 2 beautiful children. Paula Willes joined the church by contirmation. Paula is the daughter of Beth and Chuck Willes. We have watched her Durham Regional Police ar- rested an Oshawa man Sunday withimpaired driving. Malcolm MacNeil, 33, was charged by the force's marine unit on Lake Scugog, police re- port. Staff Sgt. ' John, family and I attended the wedding of John's nephew Greg and his bride Bev. We have wat- ched Greg grow for twenty-five years now. He has picked a beautiful bride. I taught him well. Greg & Bev own Bredin's Bakery in Uxbridge. It was a great excuse for a party. Thanks to Dave Jamieson who did a great job keeping us on our feet at the dance. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Steven Short who passed away last week ofter loosing a fight with cancer. Our prayers are also with Earl Police charge hoater same as driving impaired. The driver will lose the right to drive any motorized vehicle, on conviction. A 21-year-old Port Perry man was taken to Community Me- morial Hospital after the wind- surfer he was riding crashed headlong into a 25 foot boat Fri- day afternoon. Police say Mike Brock was treated and released. Nocharges were laid. Lee Ann always has a friendly smile to everyone in Prince Albert. My hand is getting sore. We still have 13 days left of school so I must get lots of rest. We have much to do in the next few weeks.
