Perfect Heating team should be proud of their batting as they got on base 37 times out of 43 bats. They defeated Norm's General Contracting 26-1. Playing a great game for Greenbank was Ryan Tyce who covered 1st base well. Mike Phoenix did a great job on 2nd base making a double play and Jay Fletcher caught some nice flys on short-stop. Trevor MacSween and Carl Phoenix went 4 for 4 at the plate. Norm's General . Contracting had Scott Heffern score the only run for his team and played an outstanding game on short-stop. Adam Beal made some nice defensive moves on 2nd. Travis Hockley pitched his first game ever and did a great job. Philp's catcher Paul Fitchett played a solid game coming through with some difficult cat- ches when it mattered. Third baseman Robbie Blight also came up big for Philp snagging some hot grounders. Both teams pitchers started slowly giving up a few walks before getting warmed up. B & R's starter Tim Fitzpatrick had some control problems early - on but came back with a strong finish. Catchier Troy Martin had to be sharp in the early going to keep Philp's base runners honest. B & R's Jamie Sauter and Jeff McConkey both had a good day at the plate but the Electric's last in- ning rally was not quite enough to give them the lead. 9-10 YEAR OLD MITES - Greenbank Variety won against Seagrave in a tremendous ball game last Wednesday. Seagrave players Mark Heffern, two super catches. Christopher Jeffay, great hits and Mark Blakley with a powerful home run, were among the spirited team. Some "'superstar"' sluggers for the Greenbank Variety team in- clude BJ Byers with two homeruns, Daniel Petronijevic- with two home runs, one of which resulted .in a grand slam, and Jimmy Edwards who played a great, great game infield and out.
