Ann Glidden volunteered to take the minutes as Mary Cannon was unable to attend. Norm Caswell read the minutes of the last meeting and also gave the Treasurer's Report. Several items of business were discussed and held over for the next meeting. Stan & Muriel Rickard will be going as delegates to the Senior's Convention in London, on Aug. 28 & 29. Motorcycle accident claims man's life A 42-year old Pickering man was Killed June 14 when he lost control of his motorcycle. Durham Police say William Hayes was pronounced dead at Ajax Hospital. The victim who lived at Lot 19 Con. 5, Pickering, was east- bound on Glenanna Rd. in Pick- eringjust before midnight when he lost control of the 1984 Ya- maha. Police report that Hayes failed to negotiate a curve in the road, struck a curb and was thrown onto the boulevard.
