A Three members of the Scugog Fire Department Hall 2 in Caesarea were honoured June 16 by thelr fellow firefighters at a retirement dinner in Caesarea. Catherine and Ed Daigle have returned home from a holiday, Ireland, London and the Continent. The weekly euchre on Thursday evening had twelve tables filled. The winners for the evening Ladies: Betsy Staniland, Earla Hill, Dorothy Edwards. Men: Ir- win Kydd, Verna Draper, Carl Gimblett. Lucky Draws: Grant Bright, Elsie Pogue, Grace Manns. The euchre's will continue during the month of July. Sympathy is extended to the families of Hugh Strong whose funeral was held on Saturday. Mr. Strong had lived ini the Port Perry and Prince Albert area most of his life. He was a mail carrier for many years. The annual Strawberry supper has come and gone. The berries did ripen on time and the pickers got them picked between showers. The committee would like to thank everyone who gave a helping hand especially the men and the children who did such a great job. Holiday time already! School finishes this week so let us all be extra careful as the children start their holiday. They are happy and carefree and do not always watch where they are going. Keith and Sarah Elliott hosted a family reunion for Keith's brothers and sisters on Saturday at their home in Castle Harbour. Better health is wished for San- dy Moore who is in hospital.
