The fourth week of play brought more parity among the teams in the squirt soccer league. Johnson Controls managed to outhustle Techstar Plastics by a 4 to nil score but the play was much closer than the score in- dicated. Johnson was led by Faith Anne Scheffield's passing and Colleen Bruce at forward. Mike Milligan led the defense. Carly Howard had an outstanding game both ways and Trevor Nobins' header was noted for Techstar. The Lions and Van Camp squared off in a close tilt which ended in a 4-4 deadlock. Gordon Kilner, Allan Anderson and Jeff Crosier played well for Van Camp, while the outstanding net- work of D'Arcy Stephens and Jor- dan Thomson held back the op- position Lions. Lindsay Wilson and Cory Manns continue to improve while the offensive forays of Stephen Wygerde thrilled the crowd. The Legion managed to sneak by Raglan Welding 3 to 1 with Dustin Bowe on offense, Angela Guenther on defense, and Nicole Vandergaast in net leading the victors. Super offense on behalf of Aaron Lycett, Dane Gray, and Matthew Welts coupled with the tough defense of Chris Monsma, Tyler Mark and Nicole Bourgeois kept things close. Walton Construction outlasted Bridlewood North 3 to nil. Joey Drebit had a number of key saves in net. Justin Bates had a solid defensive effort, and Cody Browne had a good offensive game for the winners. Adam Moynes, a new addition to Bridlewood, had an excellent game. All teams are reminded that their hard work and patience has already shown an improvement in play. Greenbank win 8-5 over Barry's The Greenbank Squirt Girls sponsored by Bagshaw Electric played another great game against Barry's Variety. The Greenbank girls won 8-5. Dana Hooker got her first home run of the season. Heather Tred- way pitched a great game. She struck out 6 girls in the 4 innings she pitched. Julie Anne Lee also pitched a great game. Stacey Richerson, Lesley Jeffreys, Tara Brown and Sara Clark did a good job in the field. Heather Harris also did a good job on first base. Way to go team!!! Don't waste this space.
