The charges against Const. Ronald Wood, 41, were an- nounced last week by Chief Dave Edwards. Wood, who worked out of 17 Division, Oshawa, has been charged with attempt to ob- struct justice; misconduct in the execution of process; fabrica- tion of evidence; uttering a forged document. The charges are in relation to the issuance of parking tick- ets in Oshawa. The ONO Awards for Creative Writing were presented by Mrs. Pickering to Jennifer Wilson and Jocelyn Agnew. Dana Campbell was awarded the Citizenship plaque and also the Top Academic Achievement. Joyce Kelly then presented the Kelly Family Award to Dana Lee. Erin Hassall, Dana Lee, Alison White, Dana Campbell, Robyn Cliff and Mike Leach received their school let- ters from Mr. Rutledge, Miss Rensink, and Mr. Thompson. Following the singing of God Save the Queen, the graduates march- ed out to the recessional "Proud- ly We March" and '"Ain't We Got Fun." The evening concluded with a dance at the school. A wedding of local interest took place in Kippen on Saturday when Howard Bailey took Julie Wright as his bride. The marriage was conducted by the Reverend Susan Sheen, who taught at the high school for many years. Members of the bridal party from this area 'were Howard's sister, Tara Bailey, John Green, Terry Taylor and former resident, Craig Paisley. Gord Paisley served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. A large number of relatives and neighbours attend- ed this happy event. Best wishes to Howard and Julie. Craig Paisley of Edmonton, Alberta attended the wedding of long time friend Howard Bailey on Saturday and is now visiting his father and sister in Blackstock. On Sunday morning the joint charge of Blackstock and Nestleton United Church held their annual outdoor service at the home of Bill and Jean Ferguson. A good crowd enjoyed the fellowship. Harvey and Joan Graham of Purple Hill were Sunday evening dinner guests of Gord and Shirley Wilson of Garden Hill to make plans for their upcoming trip to Portugal. Brenda and John Hellingman and family enjoyed having Bren- da's grandmother Marie Helena Pekelharing from Badhoevadorp, Holland and her mom Yvonne Ommen from Aalsmeer, Holland.
