The Vocational Bible School children provided the music for the out- door service. A number from Greenbank at- tended the Strawberry Social in Sunderland last Brida mg Margaret and Gorman Dixon, Newmarket, called on their cousins, Jack and Margaret Couperthwaite one day last week. Mr. & Mrs. Brian Beatty, Hal- ly & Wesley attended the 25th an- niversary party for Mr. & Mrs. Stewart McGee in Cavan Hall on Saturday. Mr. & Mrs. Mel McGee were guests at the wedding of her great niece Leanne Lycett & Dan Don- nelly in Orono last Saturday afternoon. News next week 852-6693, 985-2924. Wedding bells are ringing once again. Many friends and relatives of Julie Emm gathered together in the church hall on Wednesday evening, June 27, in honour of Julie whose marriage will take place later this month. Julie was the recipient of many beautiful gifts. The evening was spent en- joying a few games and a nice visit together. Delicious refreshments were served. The top prize winners at the Brooklin Horticultural Meeting are as follows: Decorative, Mary Housego, Joan Brak took the prize for the best white rose, and Audrey Young had the best red rose. There were 10 tables of euchre played at the Community Centre on June 28th. Men's first prize to Harold Fisher, second to Orvis Jamieson. Ladies first prize to Pat Jackson, second to Jean Richards. Mrs. Barbara Burroughs of Highland Grove visited with her mother, Evelyn Lynde for a few days. Doug and Florence Ashton visited with Mrs. Ruth Purdy, Orangeville and Cecil and Jean Vicars of Fergus recently. I understand the Canada Day Picnic was another grand suc- cess. Thanks to all those who helped make this possible. Church service at Burns each Sunday at 11:15 a.m. throughout the summer. We welcome all visitors. Anyone with any news out there, do give me a call at 655-4240. Church this Sunday will be held in Epsom at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Arch. McCurdy of Toronto taking the service. There were 13 tables of euchre played on Friday evening in the Hall with winners as follows: Ladies 1st Ruth Beach, 2nd Ruth Smalley & 3rd Fern Williamson. Men's 1st Jim Gibson, 2nd George Harper & 3rd Owen Gray. Freeze- out winners were Ruth & Celeste Smalley, Dorothy & Delbert Catherwood were second. Draws were won by Gord Wilson, Mabel Hill & George Harper. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Karen Skelding spent a week with the Randy Larsen family at their cottage on Gull Lake. Lorne & Eileen Slute visited on Sunday afternoon with Mr. & Mrs. Merle Slute of Bowmanville. Grant Bright accompanied the Senior Citizens of Port Perry on a bus trip to Midland on Thursday taking a boat tour of the 30,000 islands and other places of interest. Bill & I were supper guests with daughter Dorothy, Dennis Ger- row & children on Wednesday to celebrate Bill's birthday and then attended our grandson Justen's ball game at Blackstock. Who Please recycle this newspaper wants to watch the Blue Jays when they can see these 8 year olds play ball? It's great entertainment.
