PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, July 24, 1990 -- 25 Fish fever hits area as Scugog man wins Pro Bass tournament A Scugog Island man and his partner are $10,000 richer this week after winning the Ov Pro Bass Port Perry '90 Open over this past weekend. Peter Davidson and Hector Peach landed over thirty cight pounds of bass during the two day competition, beating their nearest rivals by 2.25 pounds. Port Perry's lakefront was packed with large crowds, who cheered loudly when it was an- nounced the local team had beat- en the well-known and popular team of Boband Wayne Izumi. Over 150, two-man teams ar- rived in town, on the third stop of the tour, to compete for $45,000 in cash and prizes being awarded to the top fishermen.
