An interesting visit ensued; cat- ching up on news since last year; and Bert was his usual self; enter- taining the group; and a tour of their old home was of great interest! A lovely buffet supper was par- taken of; you name it; we had it; topped off with a good dessert and a cup of hot tea. Members were there from Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oshawa, Bowmanville, Islington, West Hill, Whitby and Nestleton. Nestleton United Church Karen Yellowlees and family greeted at the door on Sunday, Aug. 12, 11:15 a.m. when the friends of Blackstock United Church took the service. Joyce Kelly was the reader and Thelma Wright conducted the service. The sermon and the long prayer 'were presented by Glenn Larmer. His topic was entitled, "Proud to be United Church' speaking of his background re - United Church work. He also mentioned the General Council meeting to be held August 14-23 in Western University, London, and those running for Moderator. Soloist was Jean Kyte, singing beautifully 'I Believe In Miracles' accompanied by Linda Kyte. Thelma Wright told the in- teresting children's story with the young fry at the front taking part in a game. Next Sunday is the Annual Decoration Service for Nestleton United; to be held at 2:30 p.m.. Special speaker Norman Seli and excellent music will be a feature with "The Country Four" quartet. Don't miss it, folks! Community Church Caesarea Church people assembled with an average congregation, at Caesarea on Sunday morning, at 11 a.m. Mr. Gerald Wills of the Emmanuel Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Uxbridge, was the guest speaker. His topic was about the blessing of Grace and Peace which bears the fruit of Faith, Love and Hope in Jesus Christ. His sub-topic was the Prayer of Paul, for the Church that individual members would live a worthy life. Next week - Caesarea Church will have the same speaker. Kathleen Watts was the organist for the service, on Sunday. Birthday Party of Interest On Sunday afternoon, Calvin & Yvonne Holland, Chad, Craig and Alanna, Blackstock, '"'hosted'"' a lovely family get-together for mother & grandmother Neta Fish; a real surprise for her, with 32 relatives present for this special birthday celebration. Lots of visiting and reminisc- ing; and a delightful birthday sup- per with all kinds of goodies; and a super cake to top jt off. She received many beautiful gifts as well. A festive occasion!
