Much laughter was enjoyed over her dish garden containing "Cactus People." Anne Woud won the door prize, a thermos donated by Lake Scugog Lumber. The Monthly Competition was won by Kathleen Petrie, Marilyn Clark & Marliese Hassler. Prizes for the Competition were donated by Blackstock Country Hardware & Canadian Tire. Our annual bake sale held at the Caesarea Regatta was once again a success thanks to Dowson's Valu-Mart, Hanks Pastries, Port Perry I.G.A. and all our members for their kind and generous donations. On Aug. 14 the Garden Club took the residents of the Com- munity Nursing Home & Villa to Jungle Cat World in Orono. A lovely afternoon was enjoyed by both the residents and volunteers. The Sept. 4 meeting is our Fall Flower & Vegetable Show for both geniors and juniors to be held at 725.6501 the Nestleton Hall at 8 p.m. Guest : Speaker for the evening is Mr. 4 Fred Pescod from the R.B.G.
