They completed their holiday last week, camping at Algonquin Park. Miss Sarah Shepherd has returned after being a commis- sioner at the ten day. Carolynn and Robert Hill hosted a large family birthday party recently, for her sister Claudettes twenty-first birthday. Far away guests included Jean and Norm Morrow of Huntsville. Almer and Ruby Rennie visited Sunday with Armour and Rachel McMillan. Sympathy to Mrs. Mabel Carter and family on the sudden passing of Tom on Saturday. Also sym- pathy to the Stroud family on the loss of Lenards father. Robert Couperthwaite spent a few days last week camping with his sister and family in Northern Ontario. The new 4H project is "Your Best Foot Forward." Anyone eleven years or older by last January 1st who are interested in joining, please phone Margaret Couperthwaite at 852-6693. The August meeting of the Greenbank Woman's Institute was held last week at the home of Mrs. Wm. Earle. A good turn out of members made it an in- teresting meeting. The roll call was '"Name your favourite Prime Minister and Why." Many good $500. ideas and commets resulted. The meeting closed with Deidres plea- sant hospitality, delicious sand- wiches and juice. The Greenbank Brownies, Guides and Path Finders, and their Leader's Mrs. Marie Powell and Mrs. Dot Hooker spent last week at the Sunderland District Composite Camp Adelaide at Haliburton. The Path Finders specialized in a canoe course and all came home professional canoeists. The Guides received badges for camp and stalkers. They held their own Olympics and received an athletes badge. They "enjoyed fun songs and survived the bears. Mrs. Earla Hill and cousin Ken Fraser spent a day last week white water rafting on the Ottawa River at Beachburg. Ken Fraser also won the cup for nail driving at Quaker Hill Pioneer Days.
