Minor starts next week The 1990/91 season for Port Perry Minor Hockey gets under- way next Tuesday with the con- ducting of power skating clinics at Scugog Arena (see Schedule in this issue). Registration took place last weekend at Scugog Arena and so far around 360 players have sign- ed up, with another 100 or so ex- pected to do so. In order to avoid line-ups at the arena at the power skating sessions, parents and players are urged to fill out the registration forms ahead of time and mail them this week to: P.P.M.H.C. at Box 61, Port Perry L8L 1A2. Blank forms are available at both local sports stores. Fees are as follows: one player $175., two players in a household $300., and three or more players in a household, $425. Tykes (those born in 1983, 1984, and 1985) are $125. each. Parents and players should bear in mind that players must be registered before they can go on the ice, for insurance purposes, and that full equipment should be worn at the power skating sessions. P.S. Those persons who did not pick up their used skates/equip- ment that did not sell at the ex- change last weekend may do so during the first week of power skating. Kawartha Downs News by Grant C.
