The car Is candy apple red and "heavily custo- mized," says Don. It was just one of many entered In the Classic Show Monday at the Port Perry Fair. This car originally came from Nova Scotia as a "show car." Don has owned It for five years and says "nope, It's not for sale." He recently turned down an offer of $21,000. We will be - exploring the family history of our members, the history of our communities and tasting some favorite recipes from the past. Members must be 11 as of January 1st 1990. Meetings begin September 20th at Cathy Acerra's (985-3466). Call if you are in- terested in joining; Cathy, Gail (985-7792) and the others for some interesting fun. - There were 12 tables of euchre on Friday evening in the Hall with the following winners; Ladies 1st Elsie Carter, 2nd Jean Pogue and 3rd T.B. Daniels. Freeze-out win- ners were Stan and Ruth Beach, Bill Butters & Grant Bright were second. Draws were won by Marie Geer, Stan Beach & Jim Gibson. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Sunday School resumes this week and will join with the Church service for the first part before going to their classes. Church & Sunday School will be held at Epsom at 11:00 a.m.. Best wishes go out to Jim Philip for a speedy recovery. Jim has been a patient in Port Perry Hospital for the past few weeks. Bruce and Jean Beare of Scar- borough and Dean & Gloria Beare, Derek & Daniel of Oshawa and-Denise Carre & daughter Laura of Whitby were recent visitors with Mrs. Crosier. Lisa Taylor few to Sault Ste. Marie this past week to spend a few days with her friend Sally Ir- ving and the family. Congratulations to all those from this area who were winners at the Fair on the weekend, especially to Lisa Taylor, who for the 3rd year was the Highest Points winner for girls 14 and under and received the Cochrane Auction Placque. Unfortunately this will be Lisa's last year in this category. And if I may, a pat on the back for me as I was participating in the Sunny Brae Club Champion- ship all weekend and was for- tunate to come out the winner in the Ladies Division. The U.C.W. meeting on Tues- "day the 11th of September will be held at the home of Betty Tapscott. Come at 1 p.m. for dessert and refreshments, follow- ed by the meeting.
