Large crowd at Stephenson B.B.Q. With the Labour Day weekend past and the return to school we must admit that summer is of- ficially over. Many, many of our local residents enjoyed both Port Perry and Kinmount Fairs over the weekend in absolutely perfect weather. Congratulations to the directors of the Port Perry Agricultural Society on a great Port Perry Fair. With the return of postsecon- dary students off to college and University, I would like once again to compile a list of students, their schools and courses for a future column. So would you please let me know the details as soon as possible. On Thursday evening Laura Gardner hosted a bridal shower in honour of her friend from school days, bride-to-be Diane Densmore. After Diane opened the lovely gifts from her school chums she replied fittingly and a social time enjoyed. Esther Kelly returned Sunday from an enjoyable motor trip to the Maritime Provinces with her friend Marty Lambert of Omemee. - Caesarea and Blackstock Brownie, Guide, Pathfinder and Ranger registration will be held on Monday, September 10th at Blackstock United Church from 7-8 p.m.. There were 13 tables at. the weekly euchre party on Tuesday evening at the Town Hall with the following winners - Pat Porrill, Doreen Ferguson, Dave Hall, Ruby Smith, Nerta Masters, Iran Gibson and Low - Dorothy Beech. Draws were won by Ruby Smith, Freda Ashton, Marie Moses, Albert Watts, Doreen Ferguson and Mary Cannon. On Wednesday evening a large Kathryn Elizabeth Bracken and James Charles Leonard were united in marriage on Saturday, August 18th, 1990 with the Rev. Bob LePage officiating. The bride's maid of honour was her sister Wendy and the best man was the groom's brother Michael. Eleanor Bailey was the soloist. Greeting the guests were Fred and Betty Hall. Scripture readings were given by Jill O'Donnell, friend of the bride; also Susan Leonard, sister of the groom. The bride's grandfather Mr. James Hall read, "Love Is". Jane Stone also hosted a miscellaneous shower. Audrey Lusink honoured the bride with a luncheon in Toronto. Mamie and Heather Hall also hosted a lovely luncheon in her honour. Kathi and Jim would like to thank the many people who helped make their wedding day the happiest day of their lives. Kathi's sister Wendy for all her help being maid of honour and mistress of ceremonies, giving a wonderful speech and musical slide presentation. Jim's brother Mike for coming all the way from Japan to be best man. Rev. LePage, Eleanor Bailey, Glen Taylor, the Riders, Ron Hosein, Claudia Cullen, greeters, readers and guests, who surrounded us with love and merriment, you made our wedding day a day we will cherish.
