The majority of properties affected currently do not have assigned numbers, however, some re-numbering will be required on certain streets in Prince Albert and Port Perry. Note that every attempt has been made not to change the street numbers of existing residen- tial and industrial subdivisions, however, in some cases it was necessary. In addition, names . have been legally assigned to public highways and Township roads that were never formally named. Also there have been some name changes in an effort to eliminate a name duplication. The main purpose of the new municipal address system is to provide a uniform numbering scheme throughout the Township. This uniformity is a major component to the 911 Emergen- cy Response Plan. The numbering system will assist in identifying and locating properties by the Emergency Services (Police, Fire and Am bulance) for a quicker response. Another benefit of the uniform numbering scheme will be the easier identification of your property by customer service related businesses such as oil delivery, hydro, etc. In order to display your number most effectively, standardized reflective signs will be available to the rural residents of the Township affected by this change. Information about the availability, cost'and where they may be picked up will be available in the not too distant future. CENTRAL PAINT & WALLPAPER 295 Ritson Rd.
