The Food Bank is running low on just about all non- perishables, but the greatest need, she said, is for canned meats and stews, canned fruit and vegetables, powdered milk, peanut butter, tea and coffee. She said there is not nearly enough on the shelves to get through to Thanksgiving. In any month, the Food Bank supplies food to some 16 families and individuals of all ages, from very young children to senigr citizens. e food helps to keep peo- ple floating, rather than drown- ing," said Mrs. McEnaney. She said that while there will always be a few who try to get a free ride, the vast majority are people who truly need the Food Bank through circum- stances beyond their control. Mrs. McEnaney said Scu- gog residents who want to make donations of any non- perishable foods can do so at the boxes located in both major gro- cery stores in Port Perry.
