Newton Reed of Uxbridge will be our guest speaker. There will be a social gathering after the service to welcome Rev. Bewell. Rev. Nancy Waterman con- ducted her last service as our minister and served Communion assisted by Peter Draband. On November 11, our sister church in Goodwood is having an anniversary service and will welcome Edith Anne Schantz a former minister as guest speaker at their service at 7 p.m. follow- ing a Pot Luck supper at 5:30. Everyone welcome. Watsons moving Fun was had by all at the Hallo- ween party. About 75 children showed up in outstanding costumes. Squinty the Clown kept them entertained with music, songs and games. Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. Senior Choir practice on Thurs- day at 7 p.m. Practice for the Christmas Eve Cantata begins at 8:30. Intermediate choir Thurs- day at 6 o'clock. Any children 10 yrs. and older are welcome. There will be a sing song before church this Sunday at 10:45. Special music will be by George and Amy Timms. There will also be a Baptismal Service. Green- bank Anniversary Nov. 18th with guest speaker Dr. Bob McClure. The Watson family is moving from Greenbank to R.R. 2 Little Britain area. For the past 7 years they have been a wonderful help to the church and community. During the service on Sunday, an address was read by Rod Foster and a presentation made to the family. A number of friends gathered at the hall Sunday after- noon to wish them fairwell. They are going to be missed from the community. To celebrate the Oct. birthdays in the family Geo, Tot and Helen Rahm, Aileen and Jim McLaughlin and Ruth and Joe Waldinsperger were dinner guests of Ray and Eunice Rahm on Sunday. Barry and Lois Bushell held Open House Sunday afternoon for their daughter Linda who has ac- cepted a position in a hospital in Oklahoma. We wish Linda every success in her new position. Earl and Marie Wilson, Grace and Floyd Evans attended the funeral in Uxbridge for their Aunt Clara Risebrough. Our sympathy to the family. The masquerade party was at- tended by about forty witches, ghosts and all kinds of creepy crawly critters. The Youth Group did a tremen- dous job of decorating and preparing games. They had a haunted house, apple dunking, ap- ple on a string and all sorts of treats and goodies. Heaps of fun for everyone. I was surprised at our Women's Institute meeting. I thought that when I was told the topic was "drugs" they meant the addictive kind, but the meeting was about drugs used for medication. Our guest speaker was John Vanderlee from Guardian Drugs, a very interesting and talented speaker. The subject of his talk was "Diabetes," the medication used and its effects. The Epsom church was respon- sible for the church service on Sunday, at Uxbridge Care Centre. Mr. Donald Asling gave a splen- did message and we were grateful to Mr. Robt.
