In photo at left, Katy Cracknell had a little help from "you know who" In picking the lucky name from the hat last Saturday morning. The gingerbread house was won by Betty Sanderson. Tickets for the draw were $1 each and the proceeds were used to purchase a Christmas hamper for Operation Scugog. Students went carolling in the village Thursday On Thursday afternoon I was so pleased to have a visit from Ep- som P.S. children and their teachers. The singing was beautiful and I certainly ap- - preciated it. Several from the community at- tended the singing of the '""Messiah" in Uxbridge on Satur- day evening. Epsom Choir was well represented. On Thursday, Cathy Baster ar- rived home after spending thir- teen months in Australia and the South Pacific. Paul Kerry of Montreal is home for Christmas. Sunday supper guests with Paul and Shirley Baster were: Frank, Donna and Joel Van Veghel, also Abeba and Semar Ahedge of Oshawa. Beth and Doug Wilson, Jill and Gordon Postma, Tom and Leona Armstrong were supper guests with Faye and Keith Ashton one evening last week. Floyd Evans and Don Asling at- tended a "Food Grains Bank" meeting in Woodstock on Wednesday. Faye and Keith Ashton and boys and Vickie had lunch on Sun- day with their grandmother Ruth Ashton. Barb Evans enjoyed Christmas dinner at the Health Care Centre on Wednesday. ~My daughter Yvonne Moore, her family Clarke and Heather and Heather's children, Nicholas, Karly and Katy, visited me on Saturday. Earl and Marie Wilson visited Aunt Lula and Uncle Ern Simpson in Uxbridge on Sunday afternoon. Earl Taylors attended the con- cert "The Messiah" in Uxbridge on Tuesday evening. Son Ray of Lindsay was home for the Betty Tapscott had Kelly and Gregg Hill visit for lunch on Saturday for a big binge on Chicken and Chips. They sang Christmas Carols and watched a video before going home. Mrs. Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Watson enjoyed the Christmas Cantata at Prince Albert Church on Sunday.
