teenth J --e-- Police looking for three youths Crime Stoppers and Durham Regional Police are asking for the Public's help in identifying three youths who were involved in the theft of VHS Tapes from A&A Records at the Oshawa Centre and then escaping from officers after being arrested. On January 17th at about 4:30 two police officers saw three youths in the A&A Record Store. One of the youths was seen to put two VHS tapes under his jacket. All three youths then left the store. The thief was apprehended in the mall but started to struggle with the officers. Another suspect was also arrested and the third youth came to his friend's assistance. As the result of this altercation all three youths managed to escape. One officer suffered in- juries to his knee in the scuffle. The youths are described as: 1) White male, 18-20 years, 5'10"', medium build, dark brown hair. In the struggle this suspect left behind his Sunice Ski jacket, blue, white and pink in colour and his black and grey Raiders ball cap. 2) white male, 17-20 years, 5°11", medium build, dark hair, El i Pine Ridge Garden Club to meet on March 5 by Shirley Love On March 5, Pine Ridge Garden Club will hold their 1st meeting for 1991, with a pot luck supper at 6:30 p.m. To most, the Robin is the Harb- inger of Spring, but I like to think, that when the Garden Club start their meetings off in March, Spring is on its way. Our guest speaker for the even- ing will be Mr. Gordon Wick, a very noted Horticulturist, who will speak on the various ways of planting annuals & new varieties. The monthly competition will be "Blarney Stone' on all green arrangement & for the juniors "St. Patricks Day" an all green arrangement also. A bus trip is planned for March 14 to visit the 2nd Annual Spring International Home & Garden Show at the International Centre, Airport Rd., Toronto. Cost of tickets for both the bus & admis- sion is $15.00. Non-members $19.00. Tickets will be available at the March meeting or at Lizylou Colour Craft, Queen St., Port Perry. This show will feature over 500 exhibits, Hobby & Leisure Gardens, Tropical Rain Forests, Waterfalls and different variety of flowers. We will leave the show at 4 p.m. for browsing and supper at the large Woodbine Mall. Being a Horticultural Society, The Garden Club, with the en- vironment and recycling in mind, ask that you bring your own dishes and cutlery to the pot luck supper and also "Lug a Mug."
