After a scoreless opening period dominated by the "Auctions' we capitalized on a second period Stouffville penalty. After receiv- ing a pass from Kam Cooper, right-winger Ryan McQuade went in on a two-on-one break and us- ing linemate Chris Jones as a decoy, he ripped a hard wrist shot just inside the post to score the on- ly goal the team would need to capture their well-earned 1-0 victory. Our goalies Mike MacLennan and Chris Monsma deftly turned aside several good Stouffville scoring chances. Determined skating and back-checking by all our forward lines helped our ag- gressive defensmen to throw a blanket over the opposition attackers. Unfortunately, Lady Luck deserted us in Stouffville on February 15 as we lost 5-3. We were unable to mount a consistent attack. Although we sporadically broke through for goals bby Ryan McQuade (assists by Brad Johnston and Chris Jones) and by Brad Johnston on a bullet wrist shot into the top corner of the net (assists by McQuade and Mark Delaney) Our final goal was the last of the game again by Ryan McQuade from Chris Jones and Greg Bruton. Hopefully this will spur the Auctions on for the fourth game of the series on Wednesday, OSHAWA SECURITY SYSTEM ... installed. (Limited Time Offer) $799. This was a close game with numerous chances however, the goalies at both ends turned away numerous shots. Stouffville took the lead in the first period, but early in the second, Brad Johnston scored his fourth goal of the day on assists from Chris Jones and Mark Delaney to pull into a 1-1 tie. Unfortunately, Stouffville managed to notch what proved to be the winning goal ear- ly in the third period for a 2-1 vic- tory. Mike MacLennan played outstandingly in net for Port Perry.
