The Joys of Feathered Friends! Cliff & Chris Davis, Scott and Carle, of Hyde House, Scugog Point Rd., are thrilled to have a great many birds of various kinds once again around their feeders. The 10 acre wooded property is a favourite haunt for many species. Chris - who cares for her feathered friends faithfully over the winter months, has many Car- dinals, saucy Blue Jays, a number of Grosbeaks of different hues - (similar to the finch but larger), Mourning Doves (also called Turtledoves) downy and hairy woodpeckers, and of course - the friendly little Chickadees - the "'cheerleaders' - there, in all kinds of weather - through snow or freezing rain - no matter what! A great source of interest for Chris - a lover of birds! As soon as Spring appears they will disperse - some to their Nor- thern haunts - others to local areas - as the nesting season ap- proaches! BUT - they will be back in late fall to their winter retreat - that's for sure!
