Commenting on the up-turn in the real estate market, Board president Anne Briscoe said, "with interest rates below 11 per cent, it is an excellent time for first time home buyers to enter the mar- ket. Our area offers a wide selection of housing, with some of the most attrac- tive prices in the Golden Horseshoe." She went on to say that members of the Real Estate Board are 're- gaining their optimism." The Board represents some 1200 realtorsin Dur- ham Region.
