Public meetings of a government-appointed consultation committee will be held across the province. The committee will consider all aspects of this subject including such questions as: does the current legislation adequately determine when a conflict exists? should the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act extend to local government employees? e should conflict rules extend to gifts and benefits received because of position or office? e should local politicians be required to disclose signifi- cant assets and interests which may create conflicts? e do the current rules deal adequately with elected officials undertaking additional paid activities? Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Evans attend- ed a birthday party for Mrs. Dorothy Petty of Cherrywood on Sunday. Birthday greetings from Ep- som friends to Mrs. Clara Jones. Paul and Shirley Baster were Sunday supper guests with her parents Clara and Jim Jones to help celebrate the happy occasion. Robert Ashton played on the Port Perry 1.G.A. hockey team in a tournament on Friday and won. Robert received the Most Valuable Player Award for the winning game. Congratulations from Epsom friends. Recent visitors at the Kerry home this week were Alan and Joan Clow and daughters of St. Catherines; Betty Cecchetto and family of Guelph; Betty and Bill Stearman and family of Inger- soll; Wilda Myers, Arnold and Gail Kerry; Cloyne and Jeanette Stearman; Shari Haugen; Jeff and Donna Ireland of Uxbridge; Paul Kerry of Montreal and Mark Kerry. Verna and Sterling Jeffery of Uxbridge visited Jean Jeffery on Sunday. The senior's bake sale on Satur- day in Uxbridge was a most en- joyable and a financial success.
