He and his two female accomplices who also escaped, have all been returned to their home at Jungle Cat World. All three of the escaped snow monkeys were captured and re- turned to their home at Cat World by Tuesday of last week. One monkey was found at the Orono Works Department two days after it escaped. PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, March 19, 1991 -- 3 Paid on point system Four volunteers needed at Port Perry fire hall Scugog Township Fire De- partment's Hall #1 (Port Perry) is looking for volunteers. The department is looking for four individuals aged 20-35 who are in good physical condi- tion, according to Captain Bill Harrison. Both Scugog Fire Depart- ments are strictly volunteer or- ganizations made up of men who work orlive locally. According to Captain Harri- son, the firefighters are called out on average three to four times a week. The firefighters are paid on a point system. Each firefighter receives points for every fire, meeting, or call they respond to, and are paid according to the number of points each accumu- lates over the year. In the summer months, be- ginning in May, ending in Sep- tember, each firefighter has one specified long weekend, and four regular weekends where he must remain in Port Perry. Currently the department has 28 members, with two more leaving in the near future. The department wishes to bring the total up to 30. Preference will be given to those applicants who reside and work in Port Perry, as the department is shortest in man power during the day. Applications for the fire de- partment are available on Mon- day evenings, between 7 and 9 p.m., at the Port Perry Hall, on Crandell Street.
