Seagrave area may lose Block Parents We start the news this week with a plea for help. The Seagrave Area stands a good chance of los- ing its Block Parent Association. More people are needed to be Block Parents. Also, applications have to be renewed every year. Your local rep will drop off the ap- plication to you but it is im- perative that you get it back to her/him. We are missing quite a few renewals in Robinglade Estates. The renewals were given out by Ann Sandiford over a year ago. Diane Runcieman is now the rep in Robinglade, so please get them back to her. If you have misplaced it, Diane will deliver you a new one, just call her at 985-0012. There is also a possibili- ty that the entire area will need a new District rep. Without this person there will be no Block Parents in this area at all and we have a lot of young children that this program was designed to pro- tect. Please call Heather McWilliam for more details about what is involved and then make your decision as to whether or not you can help. You can reach Heather at 985-2508. Robinglade Estates Womens Group met last Monday and en- joyed the guest speaker very much. Many thanks to Joan Gor- don for the delicious strawberry desserts for the coffee/tea hour afterwards. Winner of the 50/50 draw was Anna Jewell. Next meeting is Games Night at San- die Jonah's home on Thursday, May 23 at 8:00 p.m. The tentative date for the dinner outing is Wednesday, June 12. New members are always welcome, call Diane Cooke at 985-3722. Congratulations to Lee Beacock on his graduation from Sir San- ford Fleming College last week. Lee graduated as a Forestry Technician. Belated happy birthday wishes to Muriel Berry. Get well wishes to Betty Williams who recently sprained her wrists. Attention all Robinglade Residents----clean out your garage and basement. We are having a neighbourhood Garage Sale on Saturday, May 18 in the morning (this is the long weekend). The more people in- volved, the more successful we'll all be. Welcome home to Marg Johansen who recently returned from Holland. That's it for this week. Please call Diane Cooke at 985-3722 for news next week.
