Squirt baseball results The Port Perry Star Squirt boys team met with Perfect Heating in Greenbank May 21. Both teams played good defen- sive ball and were so evenly mat- ched that at the end of the fourth, the score was 11-10 for Perfect Heating. With time to spare, coaches decided to make the last inning open. The Port Perry Star took their bat and Perfect Heating's pitcher Mike Phoenix, who not only made a double play in the third inning by himself, but got all three outs in the last inning with his quick reflexes on the mound and carefully throwing the ball to Kevin Durward on first, who also played a great game. Perfect Heating did not take their last bat. The final score was 11-10 for Perfect Heating. Perfect Heating's Tommy Kee- ble made some nice defensive moves on shortstop while Ben Frith was doing some awesome catching on second. Travis MacSween, Andrew Donnelly, Clayton Brown, Tom- my Keeble and Mike Phoenix have done a great job at the plate getting on base everytime so far this season. The Port Perry Star team had Ryan Fraser do a great job pit- ching and also played good defen- sive ball. Cameron White had good solid hits in the second and third inn- ings, totalling five RBIs. Steve Ball hit three for three along with Travis P. and Adam who both hit two for two. Perfect Heating thanks Wayne Mahaffy for umpiring the game on such a warm humid night.
