This is a fitting gift, given to the church by her, brother Tom and Irene Shadlock. She was the church organist for over 40 years. Girl Guide All Round Cord presentations highlighted the end- of-year banquet for the 1st Green- bank Guide Co. and the 1st Green- bank Pathfinder Unit. Dana Hooker, Juli-Anna Lee and Amanda Robinson completed three years as members of the Greenbank Guide Co. by receiv- ing their All Round Cords from * District Commissioner Sylvia Oldenziel and deputy District Commissioner Debbie Kay. To earn an All Round cord, a Guide must complete many challenges and badges in four areas: Camping and Outdoors, Home, Community and World. All three girls were welcomed into the next level of Guiding, Pathfinders, by a "bridging" PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, June 11, 1991 -- 13 Many students win ribbons at Civic meet ceremony. The Pathfinders also said farewell to Karin Bacon, who will be leaving the unit. All of the Guides and Pathfinders also received badges, challenge sections, emblems and service stars to recognize in- dividual achievements. Certificates of appreciation were received from the Canadian Armed Forces for the efforts of Greenbank Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders in supporting person- nel in the Persian Gulf. Cer- tificates have also been received by the Greenbank Variety Store and the Chicken Coop Bakery for cooperating in providing space for donations of items from the community The final activity of the year, a District Rally in Cannington, was attended by many Brownies and Guides with their leaders. Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders will be starting again in September. Be sure to watch for registration information and let any new girls moving into the community know about our great organization! Many returned with ribbons and the people who placed first or second got to go back on June 6. Those people were: Juli-Anna Lee - Long Jump, Shot Put and the Co- Ed medley; Kevin Edwards - High Jump, Triple Jum and Co- Ed medley; Dana Hooker - High Jump; Christie Norrish - Co-Ed medley; Jonathan Reed - High Jump, 800 m. and Co-Ed medlev: and Bill Lee and Krista Kittle as Co-Ed medley subs.
