Sunday church service will be held in Utica United Church star- ting at 11 a.m. Bill and I spent Saturday with the Dennis Gerrow family at View 'Lake and caught up on the adven- tures of our newest grandson Taylor, who was visiting along with his parents Sue and Charlie of Kingston. If you haven't had the oppor- tunity to visit the facilities at Willowtree Farms Market, then maybe you would like to know that they now have fresh baked pies, etc. which are made right there on the premises every weekend. They also carry a varie- ty of fruits and vegetables, eggs, etc. I can vouch for the fact that they have excellent strawberries. It was a very busy place when I dropped in on Saturday. We are very fortunate to have such a well run establishment right here in Utica. Sunday supper guests with Irene Fielding were her son Jim and Dolores Hexham of Lindsay, granddaughter Jena Fielding of Pefferlaw and Aleshia Berry of Lindsay. Miss Kayla Slute of Greenbank spent the weekend with her grandparents Lorne and Eileen. Doug and Anna Boutilier took a very enjoyable trip through the states and into Nova Scotia, spen- ding a week near Lunenburg. Alicia accompanied her parents on the return trip home and will be spending a week here in the village before she has to return to Nova Scotia. No 2 Betweer Ana § Whidy Busy first week for Laurentian Bank The new Laurentian Bank of Canada on Queen Street in Port Perry has been really busy, says branch manager Will Davidson. But in spite of the long line- ups that have been the norm since the branch opened last Tuesday, the customers have been "very patient," he says. Starting at 6:00 pm in 183 Queen St., Port Perry (416) 985-8234 Open 7 days a week except holiday Mondays Many Unadvertised Specials | "We're grateful for that be- cause it's made our job a lot easier. And we just can't work any faster." Last week, customers helped themselves to the lemonade, coffee and doughnuts, and seemed prepared for the long wait, says Mr. Davidson. Most of the people waiting in Just Look for the Balloons TG. Mitchell's viBhv Settlement House line were converting their for- mer Standard Trust accounts to the Laurentian Bank, he says. He expects that new cus- tomers will wait until the bank is less crowded to open an ac- count. This week, the line-ups will move "a bit faster," he says. vom Settlement House =_5
