The local teen is travelling in Europe for three weeks this summer. Barbara, a recent OAC hon- ors graduate of Port Perry High School, was one of 25 Canadian students selected for the Cana- dian Youth on Tour honors band and choir program. The group will make a good- will concert tour in several Eu- ropean countries, including England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands. In addition to performing concerts, the ensemble will vis- BARBARA BROOKS it musical shrines, museums, Local teen touring Europe with Canadian Youth on Tour and places of musical interest, as well as attend select concerts and performances in various concert halls and opera houses. Barbara is an accomplished singer and a member of the choir ensemble. She and the other selected students from across Canada left for the 23-day tour on July 2.
