Birdseye Pool director credits new heater for increase in popularity The new heater at Birdseye Pool is being credited with the successful season it has experi- enced to date. According to Debbie Bacon, pool director, the pool year to date has been pleasing, as they have already exceeded last year's revenue by approxi- mately $2,000. The number of passes issued so far this year is up by almost three times the number of all of last year. To date, 11 family passes and three single passes have been issued, while only five passes in total were issued last year. In the monthly pool report, Ms. Bacon credits the installa- tion of the new heater with the revived interest in the pool. During the first session of swimming lessons, a total of 118 swimmers out of a total of 130 were registered. In the sec- ond session, 86 out of a total of 118 registered. The introduction of a Satur- day swimming program was not very successful, Ms. Bacon reported. After paying the in- structors, a profit of $12.00 was realized. She intends to continue the Saturday pro- gram next year, hoping more people become aware of the program, CRESSBROOK INVESTMENTS LIMITED 250 Queen Street, Port Perry 985-3832 RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGES in office servicing - one stop financing - private funding FAX 985-4103 \ AAI NOAA NLS 23 © ORCHARDS FAoIo ll =t=Y>Tela RS dg= =] FRESH APPLES Wealthy & Melba 985-9205 Dave LaForest demonstrates the technique of carving with a chain-saw.
