Kids Day at Nursing Home featured chocolate pudding feeding contest by Wendy Clark Summer holidays have come to an end but we have many wonder- ful memories that will live on in our hearts. Be sure to keep an eye out for our homemade Fuzzy Navel Jam that will be on sale at our upcoming Xmas Bazaar. It's simply delicious and you won't want to miss getting a jar. Wednesday, August 28 was "Kids Day." The afternoon was spent doing many games with our visiting children-friends. The kids sure got a kick out of the Chocolate Pudding Feed Contest. Being such a hot week we thoroughly enjoyed a treat of ice cream floats. featured a corn roast. Entertain- ment was provided by "Shades of Silver." Many residents enjoyed sitting around a blazing campfire and eating delicious juicy corn. Our last week in August ended with a picnic at Palmer Park. Lunch consisted of Dixie Lee chicken and ice cream cones. A few residents were able to take in some sights of the Port Perry Labour Day Fair. We hope you also got out to enjoy the event. Monday, September 3 we also went back to school with taking part in a spelling bee. Congratula- tions to our top speller Elsie Timlin. The following day we held our FFoot Clinic and manicure session. The evening hours of Thursday - - - afidweek we rusheddown{e the. Activity Room for a delicious special breakfast. We all devoured the delicious spread of breakfast entrees. The week ended with an End of Summer Bash with many awards dispersed for the Sun Tan Contest. Later on we had Banana Splits. Birthday wishes are extended to Mr. Bert Ayers (18).
