"A Family Tradition for 125 Years" Dutch treat Holland native John Jaggers visiting sisters i Robert Ashton, Michael and Tanya Wilson and Anna Evans attended the 4-H Champion- ship Show at Beaverton Fair last Friday. Several 4-H mem- bers have qualified to show at Lindsay Fair this week. Anna Evans won first prize with her calf and Michael Wil- son got first for showmanship and we all wish to thank Scott Wilson and Rob Evans for their untiring work with this 4-H Club. Michael Wilson is very proud to have added a mare to the horse family on the Wilson farm. Julia Baster is leaving on Saturday for a nursing position at Ft. Meyers, Florida. On Mon- day night, the family had a fare- well dinner in her honor at the home of her grandparents Jim and Clara Jones. Saturday was her birthday so the whole Jaggers family gath- ered for a big celebration. Maurice and Marydale Tap- scott hosted a family corn roast on Friday evening with about 60 present. On Saturday evening they entertained several of their bowling friends with a corn roast. On Sunday my guests were Alvena and Pat Clarke of Oril- lia. They also visited her broth- er Stirling Jeffery and his wife of Uxbridge. It was Alvena's birthday and also the first time I had met my new brother-in- law. Happy birthday also to Ruth Ashton. Allan and Joyce, Paul and Bradley of Oakwood, Bob and Sandra Ludyka of Lindsay, Keith and Faye Ashton helped her celebrate on Saturday and on Sunday. Beth and Ken Cath- Sond had lunch with her Sun- ay. Our sympathy to Donald and Stella Asling in the sudden passing of her sister Elsie Gor- rill of Lindsay.
