According to Durham Regional Police, a VCR and satellite components were stolen from a home on Scugog Concession 4 and a col- or TV, microwave oven and VCR were stolen from a home on Regional Road 57. Also on Sept. 29, a Shirley Road residence was broken into and several items stolen. aaa A purse and camera were stolen from a parked car in Port Perry on Oct. 2. We hope that the wind and rain do not blow away the leaves for a while. Several from here have been away on color tours -- to Vermont area as well as Northern Ontario. Congratulations to Jim and Dorothy McHarg who will be married 50 years on Oct. 11. The family will be holding an Open House at the Ramada Inn, Kingston on Sunday, Oct. 13 after 2 p.m. If anyone is in that area this Sunday do make a point to join them on this happy occasion. Congratulations to Roy and Harold McLaughlin for their excellent standing at Rosen- eath Fair on the weekend. On Saturday, Roy and Harold teamed up and won the first place trophy and prize for the doubles. On Sunday in the sin- gles tournament, Roy placed first. He was very pleased to be able to defeat the present On- tario Champion who is from Toronto. You fellows certainly have great skill in this sport. Congratulations.
