The play was written by school librarian Susan Reed, with origi- nal music by Kim Dick. We will train your child how to recognize a non-breather, unconscious and or bleeding incident, then teach them how to dial 911 using a colour code adfixed to our phones. We ex- plain how to respond to the questions that they will be asked and what to do until the help arrives. John Va- neyk surprised his good friend Harvey Graham by presenting him with a special plaque in recognition of his vision, inspi- ration and leadership in pro- moting tractor and truck pull- ing. In addition John presented Harvey with a life- time membership to C.O.P.T.A. and the very first COPTA hat and crest. Harvey was so surprised that he was almost at a loss for words- indeed an unusual occurrence! The remainder of the eve- ning was spent dancing to the music of John Barbara of Oshawa as well as enjoying this D. J.'s many antics and skits. Quite a number of the mem- bers of the Blackstock Agricul- tural Society attended the an- nual District four meeting held in Lindsay on Saturday. Many workshops were enjoyed as well as the guest speaker Giselle Ireland who combined common sense and wisdom with a great deal of humour. The date for the 1992 Black- stock Fair was set for Satur- day, August 29. There were 11 tables of eu- chre at the weekly Tuesday evening card party with the following winners: Faith Law- rence, John Archer, Vera Fawns, Eileen Warder, Doris Redman, Meta Swain and Mu- riel McLellan. Lucky draws were won by Meta Swain, Mary Poots, Nerta Masters, Mary Poots, , Betty Barnett and Jean Slemon. On Saturday evening Ralph and Peggy Larmer attended a special event in Solina Hall when the Solina Community celebrated 200 years of mar- riage-5 couples had celebrated their 40th wedding anniver- saries this past summer. A most unique party indeed with much visiting and a social time enjoyed with dancing and a buffet lunch. Ralph's sister Lois and her husband Harvey Yellowlees was one of the hon- oured couples.
