"A Family Tradition for 125 Years" PORT PERRY STAR - Monday, December 30, 1991 - 11 Candlelighting service enjoyed at Burns Church Ashburn News by Florence Ashton Christmas has come and gone and as another year passes it seems like a gcod time to sit back and reflect on all that we have to be for, and assess on what we have achieved over the last 12 months. Health, the love of friends and family and happi- ness in the small joys of every- day living are but a few of the things that make our lives complete. Burns Church was filled to capacity on Christmas Eve, when people from far and near gathered together for the beautiful candlelighting ser- vice. A cantata "The King in the Stable" was presented by the choir, under the direction of Mrs. Eva Hunter. Many friends and relatives gathered together recently at the home of Muriel Fisher on the occasion of her birthday. It was nice to meet together with so many friends at this Christ- mas season. Happy birthday, Muriel. We extend our sincere sym- pathy to Margaret Davis in On Thursday evening the Christmas euchre was held with 11 tables.
