Four years ago Kathy spearheaded a fundraiser for the Uxbridge/Scugog Animal Shelter, through the sale of the Super Pet Calendar. Last year alone, she raised $8,800 and more than $28,000 has been turned over to the shelter since she began. Now, with only six months to go until the end of the year, it’s time to start production on the 2009 Super Pet Calendar and Kathy is actively seeking the support of the public once again. Anyone entering their pet’s photo has a chance of their pet being one of 13 featured as a “Super Pet” of the month. But don’t despair... all entries will be included in the full colour 13 month calendar. Last year, for the first time, Kathy included a special “memo- rial page” in the calendar, on which pictures of family pets who had died over the past year were featured. The response to this was more than expected so it will be included again this year. Anyone wishing to have their pet entered in the 2009 cal- endar can pick up an entry form in Port Perry and Uxbridge at the local pet stores, veterinary offices, groomers, feed store and the Uxbridge/Scugog Animal Shelter. All proceeds from the calendar sales benefit the local ani- mal shelter.
