Her team won the ‘Ladies Intermediate’ and ‘The Trophy” provincial championships. Carol and her teammates from the Guelph Curling Club, Laura Davis-Cook, Karyn Issler, Nancy Woods and Becky Phil- pott won both the OCA “Intermediate” and “Trophy” Provin- cial competitions back-to-back this season. “My husband is extremely supportive of my curling,” Carol explained. During the off-season, Carol enjoys time with her family and the odd game of golf. Both her sons, now hockey enthusiasts, curled in their younger years when the Little Rock curling program was initiated more than 15 years ago. Carol can hardly wait for the next curling season to begin and especially enjoys playing in Port Perry where she and Carol Strachan started a ‘Skills and Drills’ strategy program to help ladies im- prove their curling ability. 131 North Port Rd., Port Perry 905.985.8707 41st Annual Canoe the Nonquon Saturday, June 6, 2009 Can@e 2Nonquon Canoe the Nonquon was created by the Lake event to raise money for the Scugog Shores Museum.
