It was mid afternoon and most everyone was enjoying their daily rest. Suddenly, as if hit by a bolt of lightening, an idea struck me. | pulled up to a small store, grabbed my camera and ran inside. It was empty so | bolted to the next one. It was a small office and a lonely clerk was sitting behind her PC. My first question was, “do you speak English?” to which she smiled and nodded. | attempted to explain my predicament and when she asked me the name of the hotel | shrugged, but flipped through the dis- play on my camera and showed her a photo, which | took yesterday upon arrival. Now in its fifth year, this juried fine craft and arts show takes place on November 7-8, with 32 exceptional artists in all media and the return of the popular ‘First Night First Choice Reception’. Patrons will not want to miss out on the ‘First Night First Choice Reception’ and awards presentation on Friday, No- vember 6, from 6 to 8 p.m Visitors will find many familiar artists from past shows as well as an exciting array of new work in glass, metal, fibre, jewellery, visual art, furniture and mixed media. The show continues on Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. ‘First Night First Choice’ tickets are $10.
