G-Moms are grateful Dear Editor, In April, the G-Moms hosted their second Gala on the Greens at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club which raised over $10,000 for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. On behalf of all the G-Moms, I would like to extend my gratitude to the numerous businesses, com- munity partners and individuals who helped make this possible. To Bill Lishman for his inspir- ing presentation, Perry Ann’s, Ooh La La, Over Her Shoulder, Jillian’s, and Paula Lishman for the fabulous fashions, the Shop- per’s Drug Mart cosmeticians, ml of the retailers who generously contributed to the event, RBC and its volunteers. The Accidentals and Gord Girvin for providing live music in the marketplace and especially, to all of the people who attended the gala. Your support is greatly appre- ciated and will assist many Afri- can grandmothers and orphaned. children through grassroots projects. Cathy Williams G-Moms of Port Perry
