Effective August 14, the Port Perry Farmers’ Mar- ket has teamed up with the McDonalds restaurant, Port Perry to support the local food bank. Residents are invited to drop off a non-perishable food donation at the Port Perry Farmers’ Market community tent. Donations will be accepted at the community tent from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturdays until October 9. Pro- ceeds will be delivered to the local food bank and used to support families in need within our community. Make your donation and enjoy a free coffee, compli- ments of McDonalds, Port Perry. The Famers’ Market offers a wide variety of products and produce, grown and produced by your neighbours on local farms within our community and surrounding areas. Seasonal product offerings include farm fresh honey, fresh baked goods and pastries, fresh picked corn, field tomatoes, strawberries, potatoes, and a wide variety of farm fresh vegetables. Market vendors also offer a selection of fresh chicken, lamb, and beef products raised on local farms within our community. Increased awareness of our local farmers and producers promotes our local economy by supporting our farming industry and offering great value to community residents.
