Come to the Port Perry Fair this weekend The Port Perry Fair gets under- way this Saturday September 3, but things really get into full swing on Sunday. Exhibits will be on display in the home craft building and the fam- ily rodeo and midway all get under- way in the morning. Then at noon, the beef and 4-H Dairy Show begins, the beer tent opens with entertain- ment throughout the day and a beef auction takes place at 4 p.m. Of course one of the biggest attractions is the Sunday Harness Horse Racing starting at 1 p.m. Also taking place about the same time is an extrication demonstration by the Scugog Fire Depa: At 6 p.m., another demolition derby will take place across from the grandstand. Once again, this attracts rge crowds so come early. Sunday night winds up with great music in the entertainment shelter provided by Settlers Creek Band and Dean Brody. Monday is another big day with a pet show, more displays in the fair buildings, junior dairy, heavy horse and Ontario County Holstein shows throughout the morning. At 10:45 a.m. the Family Rodeo returns, followed by the ever popular Rodeo Bull Riding. The action continues all afternoon with the midway in full swing, a fiddle contest and the horse pull. Admission fees are: Adults $10 day, Weekend Pass $18, Children $4 day, Pre-schoolers ‘free’ and Parking $3 per day.
