Over the next hour, the kids visited with Santa, roasted marsh mallows, warmed up with hot chocolate and danced with cartoon charac- ters to the music of a DJ set up on the street. The cool evening air provided lots of rosy cheeks and smiles as both little and ‘big’ kids (make that parents), experienced the opening of the Christmas season in downtown Port Perry.
