Port Perry Candlelight walk and tree tt lighting bring a twinkle to * local Christmas kick-off Port Perry’s popular downtown Candlelight Walk and Tree Lighting Extravaganza will take place this year on Friday, November 16, so reserve the date now. Here’s a chance for families to join Santa and his reindeer in the candlelight procession along Queen Street COMMUNITY for the lighting of the trees. Candle sales start at 6:30 p.m. AYTHE SCLIGOG coNTRE in Palmer Park at the Gazebo. The procession will move west along Queen Street to light the final tree. Then gather in front of the post office where you can enjoy Christmas music, hot chocolate, cookies and roast marshmallows with the kids. Proceeds from sales will go towards the new animal shelter. Don’t forget to bring your camera and get photos with Santa and his reindeer! We heard that Mrs. Claus and one of the mighty elves from Santa’s workshop might be coming this year too!
