EVERYTHING SANTA ; Queen Street gearing up for a busy Christmas season with buggy rides, Santa and lots more The Port Perry BIA is happy to announce it has secured the services of Santa Claus again this year and the jolly old man will greet shoppers at his little green hut on Queen Street throughout December. Santa invites everyone to drop by and share their Christmas wishes. He will be on the street every Thursday, Friday and Saturday - Thursdays and Fridays from 2-4 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again in the afternoon from 2-4 p.m. Also, throughout December there will be free horse and buggy rides avail- able through the downtown on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Don’t miss Christmas in downtown Port Perry. Museum decked out December | for Children’s Old-Fashioned Christmas Step back in time and tour through the historic Scugog Shores Museum Village, traditionally decorated for the holidays with evergreen boughs, bright ribbons and ber- ries. This one day event takes place on Sunday, December 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children will learn and enjoy various activities spread through the village. Visit with Santa Claus, string popcorn and cranberries in the Lee House, bake and decorate cook- ies in the Log Cabin, create unique ornaments to hang on aks your tree, decorate traditional Victorian Christmas cards, * visit with the blacksmith, explore the Museum Village on a ; Holiday Scavenger Hunt. The community is invited to join them for breakfast and take part in the children’s games, have pictures taken with Santa and take home some great treats from the bake sale. Breakfast with Santa takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All ages welcome.
